Our Story
Sudstream was founded in 2024 after a simple but profound realization:
Even the most basic daily routines can become overwhelming when mobility declines.
While studying mechanical engineering, our founder, Mark Almond, observed many older adults struggling to complete routine bathing tasks — washing hair, applying soap, maintaining balance — and often needing help in a moment meant to be private and revitalizing.
Rather than accept that as “just part of aging,” he got to work.
Over the next two years, Mark and a growing team of engineers, healthcare advisors, and user-experience testers built and refined a better way to bathe. The Sudstream system went through over 100 prototypes, each iteration guided by real caregiver and senior feedback, until we achieved the simplicity, reliability, and comfort users deserve.
